Stonewall Sports - New Orleans is an LGBTQ & Ally community-based, non-profit sports league. Our league values each player for who they are and what they bring to the league’s community. Our mission is to provide a fun, inclusive league that promotes a vibrant LGBTQ & Ally community while fundraising for local organizations that support the betterment of all New Orleans communities. Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion (EDI) Committee
Promotes equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging across all Stonewall programs and policies. Members provide input on inclusive practices, recommend training and outreach initiatives, and serve as a resource for players and volunteers from underrepresented groups.
Communications & Marketing Committee
Ensures clear, consistent, and creative messaging across all Stonewall platforms. Members help draft social media content, assist with newsletters and website updates, and develop campaigns for events, fundraisers, and registration drives — helping maintain Stonewall’s unique voice and brand.
Events & Programming Committee
Supports the planning and execution of our flagship Stonewall events. Members help brainstorm new event ideas, coordinate logistics, assist with fundraising and raffles, and ensure all events are inclusive, welcoming, and mission-aligned.
Fundraising & Sponsorship Committee
Strengthens Stonewall’s financial sustainability through creative fundraising efforts and sponsor partnerships. Members help identify potential sponsors, execute fundraising campaigns, and steward relationships to ensure sponsor visibility and long-term support.
Community Engagement & Partnerships Committee
Builds meaningful connections with local nonprofits, LGBTQ+ organizations, and community allies. Members coordinate volunteer opportunities, community service projects, and ensure Stonewall is represented at local events — keeping our organization active and visible across New Orleans.
Sports Committees (One per Sport)
Each sport offered through Stonewall Sports New Orleans has its own committee responsible for leadership, coordination, and enhancing the player experience. Committee members support the Sport Director by assisting with scheduling, communicating with captains, enforcing rules, and helping plan tournaments, playoff days, and overall league improvements.
